OVERVIEW: The main function of this position is to maintain efficient employee time management and human resource policies. Another focus of this position is to improve the overall culture of Company  and any affiliate companies. This will be achieved by company calendars, efficient employee training, new hire follow-up, and employee retention. It is important to ensure all functions of Human Resources are completed through Human Capital Management (HCM). This position reports to the Controller  on a daily basis. This will be done through CMiC Tasks and Communications. Furthermore, all daily Tasks will be completed under the leadership of the Controller. The Human Resources Manager must be discrete and confidential at all times. Before sending out confidential information, the Human Resources Manager must request it from the Controller in writing through a CMiC Task. New hires will transition from the Talent Acquisition Manager to the Human Resources Manager after all employee compensation packages are complete and offer letters have been signed and delivered to the Assistant Controller. At this point in time, the Assistant Controller will create the new employee in HCM. Once the employee becomes active in HCM, the Human Resources Manager will be notified and become involved.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain company calendar
• Learn and maintain Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Included, but not limited to these functions in the HCM
    • Positions
    • Workforce Planning
    • Training
    • Performance Management

• Create first draft annual evaluation questions for approval by January 15th and have all final evaluations sent out by February 15th
• Send out 90-day evaluations for all new hires
            o  There will be no 90-day evaluations from November 1st to March 1st because these employees will receive an evaluation in March with the entire company
• Update and maintain an accurate company directory in CMiC through Contacts
           o Ensure that email addresses, phone numbers, and photos are updated in each project an employee is working on
• Ensure that the Company Organization Chart is updated in HCM every time there is an employee change
• Coordinate new hire training
• Consistent new hire follow-up
• Perform background checks
• Review TSheets/ETime every morning and communicate to employees who are not signed in through a CMiC Task or CMiC Communication
• Ensure that TSheets/ETime hours are accurate because this will be used to allocate payroll
• Ensure drug test is completed
• Setup all company social events
          o Ideally one event in the summer and one holiday party
• Maintain accurate Employee Handbook and New Hire Package and ensure all policies are approved annually on January 15th in order for the final products to be approved on February 15th
           o In order to achieve this, a meeting must be setup in January to review the Employee Handbook and New Hire Package with ownership            o It is important to track all potential changes and improvements throughout the year to review for the annual meeting
• All company insurance programs will be selected through the Risk Management Department in February and given to the Human Resources Manager to send out to employees by April 1st every year
• Notify employees when benefits are available to be completed through HCM based upon preselected programs
• Annual employee enrichment programs
          o Example: annual birthday card or cake
          o Ensure consistency for all employees
• Provide a monthly employee update for positive events like promotions and birthdays by the 15th of the month in order to be added to the monthly update sent out by IT on the last Friday of the month
• Maintain company wellness program that will be created by the Risk Management Department
• Provide a list of Charities for the Controller and COO to approve for yearly Holiday Party
• Make a monthly trip to the jobsite of choice
          o This trip must be setup in advance on the annual company calendar
• Setup weekly 30-minute TEDx videos and discussions
 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have significant experience in human resources or related field
• Advanced knowledge of business communications
• Working knowledge of company computer systems and software
• Knowledge of CMIC is preferred but not required
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees and management to achieve goals of company
